The Winter

The hotel is directly on the piste of “The Maronne” with the ski lift in the backyard at about 50 meters. Direct from the hotel on the ski slope ore after a lovely day skiing back to the hotel. The ski lift gives direct access to all other ski lifts, so the whole area is direct available from the hotel

The”Maronne” on the side of the mountain “L’homme” is a part of Les Grandes Rousses, with as center Alpe d’Huez (1.850 meters). The area go’s to an altitude of 3.323 meter (Pic Blanc) and has a total length of ski slopes of 230 km wide. They vary from green till (deep) black, ideal for the beginner as well as the advanced skier. Also the real cracks find their place and challenge in this wonderful ski area.

The black decent Sarenne, with a total length of 16 km and 2.230 meter altitude difference is even known as one of the longest black ski slopes of the Alps.

The black decent “Tunnel of dead” is by its high difficulty degree even known as one of the most nerve racking ski spectacles of the Alps. For the snowboarder there are different snowparks. Thanks to the ideal geological placing of Alpe d’Huez and the presence of a glacier is the ski area Les Grandes Rousses sure of snow from half December until end of April. The ski slopes on the eternal ice offer even in the summer sometime the possibility to ski fun. More than 700 snow cannons provide that there is always practically on all ski slopes the possibility to ski during winter time. Without a doubt the ideal ski area for every winter sportsmen or women.
